The Evelyn Joy Abramowicz Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a student with a disability entering CEGEP or enrolled in a university program. Applicants must provide a transcript of grades, show proof of Quebec residency, and a letter outlining his or her disability and reasons for request.
This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the most promising student planning a major in Jewish studies, with preference given to students without a background in Jewish studies. The scholarship may also be awarded to senior students for an outstanding thesis and may also cover related costs for selection and publication of said thesis.
This scholarship is awarded to students entering dental, medical, or rabbinic studies. Preference given to those who lost a parent at a young age. Applicants must be Jewish, be a resident of the Greater Cleveland area, have a family household income of $150,000 or less, and currently attend a four year college or university.
Established in memory of long-time donor, Fannie Schaenen, to provide a scholarship for a deserving Jewish student enrolled in an institution of higher learning.
Established in memory of Farra Julianne Bloom by her family to honor the love Farra had for children and her work at Camp Chai. The recipient of this award must have worked as a counselor at Camp Chai the preceding summer. (At the Aaron Family JCC in Dallas).
Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust has established this scholarship as a legacy in honor of Dorace and Morton Fichtenbaum and their lifelong commitment to the local community. This scholarship supports Doctoral or Masters students conducting extensive research on special education for children and studying within the state of Texas.
The first award will go to a student in the Jewish Teacher Education Program – priority will be given to students in their entering year. The second award will be granted to a graduate student in the Jewish Studies Program. The third award will be given to a student enrolled in the BA in Jewish Studies who demonstrates academic merit.
