The Rebecca and Sada Tarshis Memorial Scholarship provides tuition assistance to Jewish students for higher education at accredited colleges, universities, and graduate schools. To be eligible for this one-year scholarship, a student must be a Jewish resident of Oregon and demonstrate both financial need and merit.
The award will be given to one or two students in the Faculty of Graduate Studies enrolled in the Graduate Diploma Program in Advanced Hebrew and Jewish Studies.
The Lipson scholarship provides support for students studying the history and culture of the Jewish people. Up to $2,500 can be awarded to TWO students. Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate at Ohio State with continued enrollment the following year. Applicants must have completed at least one Jewish Studies course.
The Rhea Sourifman Caplin Memorial Scholarship is awarded to those pursuing nursing or healthcare. Applicants must be of the Jewish faith, be a greater Hartford resident (preference to Bloomfield), have a minimum B average in sciences, and be active and involved in their community. This is a $1,000-$2,000 renewable scholarship.
The Richard L. Levis, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund provides up to $1,000 in scholarship money to Missouri area college or university students. The scholarship has no restrictions with regard to curriculum, but the applicant is required to demonstrate scholastic achievement and financial need.
